About the role
The Senior Superintendent will oversee large-scale commercial ground-up construction projects, ensuring coordination, compliance, and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the work of all construction substrates in conjunction with the main office.
- Arrange, monitor, and be present for agency inspections.
- Read and comprehend architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
- Review shop drawings and reports prepared by testing and inspection agencies.
- Prepare and monitor RFIs.
- Prepare daily report forms and progress photographs.
- Maintain working knowledge of computer systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF handling.
- Engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials to problem-solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly job site while enforcing safety standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial ground-up construction.
- Experience with hospital, MOB, or other healthcare projects ($25M+).
- ICRA knowledge.
- Complete understanding of the construction process.
- Proficiency in reviewing and understanding construction documents, including specifications and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
- Self-motivated and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to meet project deadlines.
