Senior Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

About the role

The Senior Superintendent will oversee large-scale commercial ground-up construction projects, ensuring coordination, compliance, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of all construction substrates in conjunction with the main office.
• Arrange, monitor, and be present for agency inspections.
• Read and comprehend architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and reports prepared by testing and inspection agencies.
• Prepare and monitor RFIs.
• Prepare daily report forms and progress photographs.
• Maintain working knowledge of computer systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF handling.
• Engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials to problem-solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly job site while enforcing safety standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial ground-up construction.
• Experience with hospital, MOB, or other healthcare projects ($25M+).
• ICRA knowledge.
• Complete understanding of the construction process.
• Proficiency in reviewing and understanding construction documents, including specifications and drawings.
• Excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
• Self-motivated and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to meet project deadlines.
