Amentum is looking for a Senior Submarine Industrial Support Specialist to join our elite team in Portsmouth, VA.
About the Role
You’ll be the bridge between technical planning and deckplate execution, ensuring our fleet remains mission-ready. Drive project success through schedule management, track progress, and lead "hotwash" events for vital programs like SWFTS. Master the deckplate by preparing WAFs and SHIPALTs, auditing ongoing work, and troubleshooting technical hurdles in real-time. Solve complex problems by authoring LARs and DFS documents, interpreting complex drawings to keep installations on track. Lead communication by providing weekly updates and expert reports that keep all stakeholders informed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Clearance: Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Clearance.)
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and six (6) years experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Submarine Combat Systems Modernization, WAF and Tagout generation, and modernization work controls experience.
Compensation & Benefits
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
