Responsibilities
- Aid in managing QA programs for DCS, DDS, SDV, SWCS, and other assets.
- Develop, plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate QA policies, methodologies, procedures, training, and maintenance.
- Maintain, track, monitor, and train all aspects of the QA program.
- Provide hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical expertise.
- Aid in QA program requirements for maintenance, materials, and certification.
- Assist with annual QA internal surveys, ISIC, TYCOM, and NAVSEA QA assessments, and biannual sustaining certification surveys.
- Aid in QA training and qualifications for all QA division, repair department, and supervisory personnel.
- Aid in AS&E for QA maintenance programs.
- Assist with fact-finding and critiques after mishaps.
- Travel as required for on-loads, off-loads, and inspections.
- Coordinate with Navy host submarine commands, parent commands, and Oceaneering International.
- Submit DFS and LARs for engineering specifications and procedures.
- Participate in weekly QA program meetings.
- Create FWP and CWP for maintenance and testing.
- Ensure advanced submarine technology meets technical requirements.
- Evaluate system and component sustainability.
Requirements and Education
- HS Diploma or GED plus 8 years related experience or BA/BS and 4 years related experience.
- Minimum 8 years experience with U.S. Navy submarines or submersible platforms.
- Minimum 8 years experience with submarine mechanical and electrical systems or components.
- Knowledgeable about U.S. Navy quality assurance program.
- Experience with U.S. Navy submarines QA Program.
- Experience with supply chain or inventory management.
- Secret level clearance.
- Prior military experience preferred.
