About the Role
Own and grow relationships with the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. PolyPeptide is expanding its global commercial team and is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to lead and grow relationships with key pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the US. This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on managing top-tier accounts and driving long-term commercial partnerships in a rapidly growing CDMO environment.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Growth
- Own and execute multi-year account strategies for key pharma clients
- Identify and drive new opportunities across development, clinical, and commercial manufacturing
- Expand relationships by positioning additional services, technologies, and global capabilities
- Lead complex, high-value deals including capacity expansion and long-term supply agreements
- Client Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across CMC, procurement, quality, and operations
- Lead business reviews and executive-level engagements
- Act as the voice of the customer internally to ensure successful delivery
- Commercial Execution
- Manage opportunities through the full lifecycle, including proposal development, pricing, and negotiations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and timely proposals
- Negotiate and execute MSAs, supply agreements, and commercial terms
- Market & Pipeline Insight
- Monitor industry trends, client pipelines, and outsourcing strategies
- Provide insights to internal teams to guide commercial and operational decisions
- Represent PolyPeptide at industry events and client meetings
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in pharma, biotech, or CDMO/CRO commercial roles
- Proven success managing large, strategic accounts and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of drug development, GMP operations, and CMC processes
- Experience negotiating complex, long-term commercial agreements
- Ability to influence and engage senior-level stakeholders
- Strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
- Willingness to travel (~50%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) in a scientific or business field
- Experience in peptides or related modalities
