About the role

The Senior Specialist - Speaker Engagement plays a crucial role in managing meeting and event logistics, speaker coordination, and project execution. They work closely with senior team members to support various aspects of global programs, including speaker management, project management, data and reporting, and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Speaker Management & Governance
    • Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and activation, strategy and insights group, and other MFS groups to achieve objectives.
    • Coordinate speaker requests across Global Distribution channels, including scheduling, briefing support, and stakeholder communication.
    • Evaluate and prioritize speaker opportunities, supporting alignment with strategic priorities and audience needs.
  • Project Management & Workflow Execution
    • Manage multiple concurrent meeting and event-related projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and priorities are effectively executed.
    • Cook up and enhance processes across global meetings and events, identifying efficiencies and improving workflows.
  • Data, Reporting & Insights
    • Maintain a centralized database of speaker engagements to track participation, feedback, and impact.
    • Update and ensure accuracy of data for speaker management database, reporting, and content-related Workfront management.
    • Provide reporting and insights to support decision-making and balanced allocation of investment and executive resources.
    • Evaluate performance across meetings and events using available data and reporting to support continuous improvement.
    • Identify trends and insights to enhance future execution and participant engagement.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Support onboarding, training, and oversight of co-op or junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
    • Exercise independent judgment in problem-solving and conflict resolution; escalate issues as appropriate.
    • Stay informed on industry trends and recommend enhancements to delivery.
    • Take on additional responsibilities to support evolving team and business needs.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 2-5+ years of professional experience.
    • Financial Services event management experience preferred.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and able to develop proficiency in MFS systems as required to perform the duties of this position.
    • Experience with virtual event platforms, knowledge of Cvent or similar event registration software is a plus.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, team-working, collaboration, the ability to problem-solve and build solid professional relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

    • Hybrid office schedule requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the Boston office and the ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours as needed.

    Benefits

    • Base Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $101,000.00
    • This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

    Schedule

    Hybrid office schedule requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in the Boston office and the ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours as needed.
