About the role
The Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering - Chief Inspector position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality control procedures and inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations, C3ISR Ground Operations Procedures, and Quality Assurance Procedures Manual. This position requires a strong partnership with the Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper execution of FAA Form 337.
- Provides guidance on technical matters for the aircraft.
- Monitors performance of subordinate Inspectors.
- Recommends changes to processes and programs for the Program Quality Assurance Managers approval.
- Maintains strict compliance with company and government Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work day shift, night shift and weekend duty and travel as part of maintenance recovery team as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P license).
- Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), or the ability to obtain IA.
- Minimum of four (4) years hands-on experience practicing aircraft maintenance.
- Minimum of four (4) years in Aircraft Quality Control/Assurance.
- Valid civilian drivers license with ability to obtain and maintain a government flight line drivers license.
- Must be a US citizen.
Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to work day shift, night shift and weekend duty and travel as part of maintenance recovery team as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
