Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering - Chief Inspector

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering - Chief Inspector position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality control procedures and inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations, C3ISR Ground Operations Procedures, and Quality Assurance Procedures Manual. This position requires a strong partnership with the Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper execution of FAA Form 337.
• Provides guidance on technical matters for the aircraft.
• Monitors performance of subordinate Inspectors.
• Recommends changes to processes and programs for the Program Quality Assurance Managers approval.
• Maintains strict compliance with company and government Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and procedures.
• Willingness and ability to work day shift, night shift and weekend duty and travel as part of maintenance recovery team as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P license).
• Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), or the ability to obtain IA.
• Minimum of four (4) years hands-on experience practicing aircraft maintenance.
• Minimum of four (4) years in Aircraft Quality Control/Assurance.
• Valid civilian drivers license with ability to obtain and maintain a government flight line drivers license.
• Must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to work day shift, night shift and weekend duty and travel as part of maintenance recovery team as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
