Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze production schedule to identify “high risk” parts.
- Inspect and evaluate raw material, WIP, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., consistently and accurately.
- Enter data to track quality performance and send out emails to supervisors and plant management regarding deviations.
- Develop and maintain Quality Forms, SOPs, and documentation as needed.
- Assist in formulating and tracking Quality Key Performance Indicators.
- Complete assignments and projects with minimal supervision.
- Comply with internal company safety expectations and OSHA safety rules.
- Treat others with respect, inspire trust, work with integrity, uphold organizational values, and act ethically.
- Maintain productivity and meet all deadlines.
- Follow policies and procedures.
- Work independently without close supervision.
- Work as a member of the team.
- Work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Moderate to advanced experience in Excel or other database software, including report generation, pivot tables, and charts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
- Strong communication skills, including reading and writing in English.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directives.
- Manual dexterity and personal time management skills.
- Able to inspect parts for conformance.
- Understanding of racking systems and their components.
- Accuracy and thoroughness in completing required paperwork.
- Ability to retain focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Unarco products and their quality attributes.
- Knowledge of Unarco production processes and their impact on product quality.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to deal with non-standardized situations on a daily basis.
- Ability to compare parts in the manufacturing environment to drawings from Infor ERP XA.
- One to four-step instruction comprehension.
- Deductive problem-solving skills.
- General math application in problem-solving.
- Ability to retain focus on two to three tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to handle standardized production situations with minor variables.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday.
- Regularly required to climb ladders, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects, talk, and hear.
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms, including overhead, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Reasonable range of motion and strength of all extremities and spinal segments as determined by a physical exam.
Work Environment
- The work environment is usually loud due to noise levels.
- Hearing protection must be used at all times.
- The facility is not climate-controlled, so summer heat and winter cold are expected conditions.
