Duties

  • Conduct weighing procedures in accordance with customers’ recommended practices and procedures.
  • Upon A/C arrival, obtain associated documentation, complete A/C records and document receipt to perform incoming inspections.
  • Cookordination inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs.
  • Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired, and rebuilt parts/components for evidence of physical damage, count, and conformity.
  • Ensure all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival, maintenance and corrective actions performed, are documented accurately and that all specialized customer (RED, RFE & SRPSA) and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) is complete and required approvals have been obtained.
  • Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, EINO, EO, EA).
  • Perform walk around inspection of aircraft for release from maintenance.
  • Perform return to service process and ensure assigned aircraft meets all airworthiness requirements prior to return to service.
  • Provide data to customers as requested.
  • Train, coach and mentor technicians and other inspectors in the performance of duties in area(s) of qualification.
  • Assist with research activities.
  • Perform conformity inspections.
  • Conduct Internal Procedural Audits.
  • Perform research functions, including aircraft records research, aircraft configuration assessment and maintenance requirement determination based on research.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as an A&P Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician, ideally in a heavy maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with aircraft inspections under FAR 145, 121, 135 or through the military, on military aircraft.
  • FAA-issued Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Have a working knowledge of special tooling and machinery used in detail inspection.
  • Have a working knowledge of aircraft part fabrication process.
  • Able to calculate tolerances using specialty / calibrated measuring devices.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering documents.
  • Able to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments and special tooling.
  • Must be able to pass hearing and vision tests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Pass background check.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

  • $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts on a 3/4/4/3 schedule, which include days, nights, and weekends.
