Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support Analyst
About the role
This role is located in Berwyn, PA. In this role, you’ll make an impact by performing moderate to complex troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting applications and their operating environments, responding to alerts, performing root cause analysis, and using procedures and documentation for issue resolution. You'll also lead or partner with other team members on analyzing moderate to complex issues, performing ongoing health checks and validations after changes or significant incidents, providing input and recommendations for technical solutions, designing and implementing automation for manual processes, mentoring or providing guidance for junior team members, partnering with quality assurance, development, and business teams to support client needs, and contributing to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
Responsibilities
- Perform moderate to complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
- Maintain and support applications and their operating environments.
- Respond to alerts, perform root cause analysis, and use procedures and documentation for issue resolution.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup, monitor applications, and respond to incidents.
- Lead or partner with other team members on analyzing moderate to complex issues.
- Perform ongoing health checks and validations after changes or significant incidents.
- Provide input and recommendations for technical solutions on application problems.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for more complex issues and escalate to second level application or infrastructure support when necessary.
- Design and implement automation for manual processes.
- Mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.
- Partner with quality assurance, development, and business teams to support client needs.
- Contribute to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 4-6 years of experience in applications support or production environment required.
- Experience in the financial services industry is essential.
- Experience in Java, Oracle, Perl, and Python.
