Senior Specialist, Accounting & Controlship
About the role
As a Senior Specialist, Accounting & Controlship, you will ensure our organization’s financial integrity and compliance. This role blends hands-on execution of complex accounting processes (including cash, project, and balance sheet management) with the strategic oversight needed to develop robust internal controls, document corporate policies, and deliver accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounting for ALCS within the Carrier organization
- Support the month end closing & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Complete timely account reconciliations and ensure their quality complies with Carrier standards
- Provide accounting support to finance and field operation teams
- Maintain accounting standard work documentation of system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity
- Prepare financial data for corporate reporting
- Maintain a strong internal controls environment
- Participate in finance and digital (DT) projects, offering support for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
- Special ad-hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
- 4+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and internal control procedures
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of and experience with percentage of completion accounting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management
- Excellent excel skills
- Attention to detail and timeliness; ability to deliver a quality work product on time
- Strong initiative, drive, motivation, curiosity
- Adaptable/Self starter
- Experience with tools that automate processes and support accounting and reporting functions
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to solve business process issues
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
