Senior Solutions Architect, Travel & Hospitality, Emerging Industries
About the role
Drive the global technical strategy for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and work with the world’s largest and most innovative travel & hospitality companies. Focus on increasing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers across the industry.
Responsibilities
- Help articulate the technical strategy for AWS in the Travel & Hospitality market
- Identify and engage key strategic integration and solutions partners
- Develop and promote cloud best-practices, including data security and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with AWS Solutions Architects and AWS Partner teams to develop and promote cloud best-practices
- Enable the AWS sales teams to more effectively drive their day-to-day interactions with key prospects
- Work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption in the Travel & Hospitality space
- Help establish technical credibility in sales cycles, and drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc.
- Represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
Requirements
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5+ years of experience in Travel & Hospitality (T&H) specific technology domains (e.g. airline, airport, hotel, casino, cruise, ground transport and other T&H specific solutions)
- Experience in building and implementing T&H specific AI enabled solutions
Qualifications
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience in applications and infrastructures design, implementation, or consulting
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience in Travel & Hospitality (T&H) specific technology domains
- Experience in building and implementing T&H specific AI enabled solutions
Skills
Highly technical and analytical, capable of understanding the complexities of large Travel & Hospitality enterprise IT environments.
