Senior Solutions Architect, Travel & Hospitality, Emerging Industries

About the role

Drive the global technical strategy for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and work with the world’s largest and most innovative travel & hospitality companies.

Work with the broader Travel & Hospitality team to develop the strategic plan for AWS, particularly the technical elements of the strategy and plan to engage customers and partners.

Engage directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the industry.

Responsibilities

• Help articulate the technical strategy for AWS in the Travel & Hospitality market.
• Identify and engage key strategic integration and solutions partners.
• Drive the technical relationships with industry thought leaders and key prospect/customers to create significant new opportunity pipelines.
• Enable the AWS sales teams to more effectively drive their day-to-day interactions with key prospects.
• Work closely with AWS Solutions Architects and AWS Partner teams to develop and promote cloud best-practices, including data security and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption in the Travel & Hospitality space.

Requirements

• Technical background enabling interaction at the highest levels of Travel & Hospitality companies.
• Presence and wherewithal to easily communicate the benefits of cloud computing to the Travel & Hospitality platform architects, infrastructure architects and engineers, and enterprise security and compliance teams.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of global businesses.
• Deep familiarity with complex, legacy IT environments including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information security, and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Travel & Hospitality (T&H) specific technology domains (e.g. airline, airport, hotel, casino, cruise, ground transport and other T&H specific solutions).
• Experience in build and implementation of T&H specific AI enabled solutions.

Skills

• Highly technical and analytical.
• Capable of understanding the complexities of large Travel & Hospitality enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, with customers, SIs and ISVs.
