Senior Solutions Architect, Global Defense Partners
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Senior Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing Global Defense Partners business. As a Senior Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to advance our customer’s mission through the use of AWS services (e.g. Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, HPC, Amazon Bedrock etc.) directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators, consulting and technology partners. You will accomplish this as part of a cross-functional team working together in support of the federal missions, with strong sense of building art of possible proof of concepts (PoCs) to solve customer's problems.
Responsibilities
- Owning the technical engagement and technical strategy with our customers.
- Building art of possible proof of concepts (PoCs) to solve customer's problems.
- Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise both in AWS technologies, as well as the customer mission space.
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 8+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience with AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, or data engineering workloads on AWS
- Familiarity with defense compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG, ITAR)

Pay
Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. USA, VA, Arlington - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
