About the role

The Principal Solutions Architect will help shape and deliver strategies to advance the mission of Global Defense Partners customers through the use of AWS services. This role involves working directly with systems integrators, consulting and technology partners, and a cross-functional team supporting federal missions.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers transform their IT infrastructure to the cloud using AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, HPC, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Develop and communicate end-to-end technology roadmaps to guide IT transformations towards cloud computing.
  • Communicate with C-level executives, IT management, and developers to train, workshop, and publish on technology solutions.
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
  • Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent.
  • Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
  • Familiarity with defense compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG, ITAR).

Skills

  • Exceptional technical design and thought leadership.
  • Strong sense of building proof of concepts (PoCs) to solve customer's problems.
  • Collaboration with a sales and business development team.
  • Leadership in sharing best practices within the AWS solution architect community.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, CA, Irvine - $182,800.00 - $247,300.00 USD annually
