Principal Solutions Architect, Global Defense Partners

About the role

The Principal Solutions Architect will help accelerate Global Defense Partners' business by leveraging AWS services to support federal missions. This role involves shaping and delivering strategies to advance customer missions, working closely with systems integrators, consulting firms, and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology solutions and roadmaps guiding IT transformations towards cloud computing
• Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives, through training, workshops, and publications
• Lead efforts to capture and share best practices among the AWS solution architect community
• Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the Federal Government markets
• Collaborate with a sales and business development team to capture and share best practice knowledge

Requirements

• 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
• Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
• Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Familiarity with defense compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG, ITAR)
