Senior Solutions Architect, Federal Civilian
About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate the growth of our US Federal Civilian Health business. This role is part of the World Wide Public Sector practice and involves helping Civilian Health agencies meet their mission goals through the use of cloud computing.
Responsibilities
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
- Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies
- Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
- Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers
- Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
- Collaborating with a world-class sales and business development team
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Qualifications
- Passionate about helping customers design and create cloud computing architectures
- Deep-dive technical discussions around design and an intellectual curiosity to stay current with industry trends
- Experience in web services development/deployment, cloud computing, databases, big data and analytics
- Experience with web site/services operations, management, database administration and security

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 annually.
