About the role
The Senior Solution Consultant for Commercial will support the majors sales team by understanding complex customer business problems and requirements, then translating them into solutions leveraging Docusign’s platform. This is a virtual, individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Commercial Solution Consulting, requiring travel across the U.S. region.
Responsibilities
- Understand complex customer business problems within targeted territory and account list
- Visualize customer internal systems and information topology
- Map customer problems and systems to Docusign solutions
- Establish confidence in recommendations via product expertise, custom product demonstrations, technical phone calls, workflow outlines, RFP/RFI responses, product roadmap discussions, and business process diagrams
- Articulate selected recommendations
- Deliver trusted, long-term, high ROI solutions
- Partner with sales to deliver on revenue plan
- Exhibit proficiency of the core platform, including all current and future features
- Leverage knowledge gained from production deployments and customer experiences
- Communicate and champion the methods, processes, and certifications that make Docusign the most secure partner for eSignature transactions
- Travel 45% or more as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of prior experience within a mid-market or enterprise-level, pre-sales role selling SaaS solutions and concepts
- BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of prior pre-sales experience within a mid-market or enterprise-level cloud-based SaaS offering
- Proficient in delivering software demonstrations in person and virtually
- Experience with technical business documentation like workflow diagrams, proposals, SOWs, RFPs, and RFIs
- Proven experience working with employees at all levels of an organization
- Familiarity with enterprise-class software systems like ERP, CRM, and ECM systems
- Familiarity with system integration methods such as web services, SOAP APIs, and REST APIs
- Familiarity with web-based solutions, website development, HTML, XML, and structured data
- Familiarity with electronic signature concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Pay
Pay for this position is based on geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Below are the base salary ranges for specific locations:
- California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00
- Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota: $140,100.00 - $197,925.00
- Washington, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (including NYC metro area): $140,100.00 - $206,775.00
- Washington DC: $146,400.00 - $206,775.00
- Ohio: $122,500.00 - $172,975.00
This role is also eligible for the following bonuses:
- Sales personnel: variable incentive pay dependent on achievement of pre-established sales goals
- Non-Sales roles: company bonus plan, calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance

Schedule
This is a remote position. Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. Travel is required at 45% or more as needed.
