Senior Software Engineer, Blockchain Platform Nodes

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep performance optimization across the blockchain node stack to enhance efficiency.
• Develop observability and automated failover systems to proactively manage node reliability.
• Implement a right-sizing initiative across blockchain nodes to ensure effective use of resources.
• Collaborate with various teams to extend performance improvements beyond the node layer.
• Establish and define service level objectives (SLOs) for node services, ensuring reliability measurement.
• Support protocol upgrades with a focus on performance, ensuring resource efficiency during rollout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, with a focus on performance analysis and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, including diagnosing performance issues and capacity management.
• Proficiency in backend programming, particularly Go, and familiarity with systems tooling for observability.
• A proven track record of reducing infrastructure costs through engineering solutions rather than increased resources.
• Experience with blockchain nodes and consensus protocols, including performance behavior under different conditions.
• Responsible use of generative AI to enhance workflow efficiency and quality.
