Senior Software Engineer- Blockchain Network

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer- Blockchain Network to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on designing and delivering blockchain network infrastructure that simplifies complex operations through scalable APIs. You will lead major technical initiatives across chain integrations, system re-architecture, and data migrations while partnering closely with product and platform teams to strengthen data contracts and ship SDKs. The work also includes defining SLOs, observability, and on-call practices to support reliable, high-throughput systems in a fast-moving environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of blockchain network infrastructure, simplifying complex operations into APIs
• Lead multi-quarter initiatives for new chain integrations, re-architecture, and data migrations
• Define and maintain APIs, SLOs, and observability for built systems, including on-call ownership
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to establish data contracts and ship SDKs
• Build deep technical context across blockchain protocols to simplify cross-chain operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of production services in service-oriented architecture
• Proven track record designing, scaling, and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with at least two technologies: Golang, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, or similar
• Direct experience with blockchain protocols such as Ethereum or Bitcoin, or crypto infrastructure
• Ability to decompose complex systems into microservices with clear API contracts
• Experience utilizing generative AI while maintaining human oversight for improvements

Pay

$186,065 – $218,900 annually
