We help airlines and original equipment manufacturers create a positive experience for their customers and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop the next generation of aircraft seating. This is an onsite position in Jamestown, North Dakota.

About the role

Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Contribute at all phases of the software development lifecycle, including software/hardware integration. Utilize strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions. Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines, both internal and external. Support program and customer meetings/reviews, and assist program leads with technical decision-making and problem resolution. Perform technical leadership roles for key tasks or line items on programs. Ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, and quality standards. Support system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++.
  • Knowledge of DO-178 is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with containerized applications such as Docker.
  • Experience with embedded or low-level software development, including OS-adjacent or hardware-interfacing work.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile lifecycle processes including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
