Responsibilities
- Serve as technical leader for cargo software team, aligning efforts across engineering teams to ensure completion of capabilities within project lifecycle.
- Cook with Systems Engineers to develop, mature and update software requirements.
- Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies and ensure seamless program execution.
- Support risk and opportunity management, schedule adherence, and cost control to meet program deliverables and financial objectives.
- Contribute to the design and development of a Systems/Software architecture for the aircraft Cargo System.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
- Experience in Software Engineering to include experience working various phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment that requires communication with other engineering disciplines, Program, and external stakeholders.
- Mentoring experience with junior engineers.
- Experience with Software Development Using C/C++.
- Experience with DO-178 and Software Certification Qualifications.
