About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working on a multidisciplinary team to build our next-generation developer platform. You will have the opportunity to build some of the most satisfying automation tools around and play a critical role in guiding the direction of the product.

Responsibilities

• Create APIs or microservices
• Experiment with a plethora of languages and frameworks
• Work with containerization and virtualization technologies, particularly Docker
• Understand Infrastructure-as-Code solutions like Terraform
• Think about abstraction, application architecture, and distributed development
• Write strong documentation for the platform
• Instrument CI pipelines and GitOps
• Work with multiple container platforms, like AWS ECS and Kubernetes
• Work with Service Mesh technology, especially Hashicorp Consul
• Use modern secret management solutions, like Hashicorp Vault
• Work with cloud networking and network security

Requirements

• Experience creating APIs or microservices
• Expertise in more than one language and framework
• Proficiency with containerization and virtualization, particularly Docker
• A high-level understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code solutions like Terraform
• Thoughtfulness regarding abstraction, application architecture, and distributed development
