Senior Software Developer

About the role

VTG is seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Developer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer's mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams for integrations and tasking delivery
• Maintain legacy applications
• Modernize legacy applications
• Write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
• Leverage Amazon Web Services
• Create RESTful APIs
• Develop Java and Angular (Typescript)
• Design and utilize custom ETL methodology
• Apply strong communication, design, and documentation skills
• Apply strong workflow and time management skills
• Perform unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
• Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
• Methodically think through technical challenges in a collaborative team environment to provide technically sound solutions

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• BS degree and 4-10 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in multiple programming languages (Java, Spring Boot, Angular/Typescript, and the Cloud/Amazon Web Services)
• Full Stack Development experience
• Experience developing solutions to satisfy customer requirements and specifications
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Selenium, and Rundeck
• Experience working in Command Line (RH Linux)
