Senior Software Developer
Location: Ann Arbor Junction, MD (fully on-site, no remote option). Must have a TS/SCI Poly clearance to apply.
About the Role
An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment to implement products and technology to meet client needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex client engagements. Effectively consults with management of client organizations. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead experienced consulting teams and be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and operations aspects of the system for high-quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.
- Develop detailed designs of Oracle IT capabilities, which may involve integration with third-party products and/or GOTS capabilities.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy complex extensions or configurations needed to address client-unique business processes and workflows.
- Work on substantive and unique issues that identify risks and risk mitigations.
- Develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria providing functional and technical experience on on-premise, cloud, and hybrid-based solutions.
- Participate in project planning and project status communications.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or 8 years of equivalent work experience).
- 8 or more years of experience with Java and JavaScript.
- 8 or more years of experience with modern development practices and testing.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a contractor in the Intelligence Community.
- Familiarity with and ability to build Encryption Libraries and Key Management Services.
- Establish and apply best practices to ensure successful implementation of solution designs through collaborative project team communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution.
Desired Skills
- Experience with encryption and understanding of key management.
- 5 or more years of experience with REST APIs.
- AWS experience.
- Spring experience.
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience.
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
