About the role
We're looking for a Senior Strategist, Social Marketing & Strategy to join our team. You'll report to the Director, Social Marketing & Strategy and will push social creative strategy for our high-profile Retail (grocery) client.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the creative team to push creativity and ensure alignment with strategy
- Manage and mentor team members, providing strategic guidance, fostering growth, and leading internal and client meetings with confidence
- Translate client business challenges into social-first strategies that drive engagement, brand growth, and business results
- Deliver ongoing thought leadership to our teams and clients by identifying problems and finding solutions
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Partner with the creative team to push creativity and make sure it aligns with the strategy
- Build knowledge on the macro/micro forces that influence our client's business
- Deliver briefs full of insights, inspiration, and updates based on creative feedback and help translate that work into social creative
- Understand how owned, earned and paid social work together and can develop integrated social strategies that maximize the role of each
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing social strategies across owned, earned and paid social, including experience at an advertising agency
- Experience using social listening, analytics, and platform insights to measure performance and optimize creative and content strategies
- Present strategic recommendations and performance insights to senior clients
- Bachelor’s in Advertising, Marketing or related field, required; in lieu of degree, equivalent experience in a relevant field required
- Expertise in and love for the social space
- Excited by the internet, love that it's ever-changing, and understand how to apply this to clients
- Experience as the daily lead on client businesses and developing client relationships
