Senior Services Supervisor
About the role
The Senior Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of Mono County's senior services programs in the Walker/Coleville and Bridgeport areas, helping ensure older adults have access to nutritious meals, transportation, social engagement, information and referrals, and other essential support services. This position manages senior center operations, supervises staff and volunteers, coordinates community outreach, oversees meal and nutrition programs, and ensures compliance with state and local program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee senior center operations, including meal preparation and distribution
- Supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
- Coordinate community outreach efforts to increase awareness and participation in senior programs
- Oversee meal and nutrition programs, ensuring compliance with state and local guidelines
- Manage budget and resources to support senior services initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and local program requirements
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation
Requirements
- Three years of previous work experience in overseeing activities in a group setting or quantity food preparation, preferably with a senior population
- Valid driver’s license
- Food Safety Manager Certification, or the ability to obtain such within 12 months of hire
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance and from 25-50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work independently while balancing operational, administrative, and community outreach responsibilities
