About the role
Lead a team of professionals in designing sustainable infrastructure solutions that enhance quality of life and protect the environment. Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable design strategies that minimize environmental impact while meeting client needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
- Conduct environmental assessments and prepare reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project milestones.
- Oversee the implementation of environmental management systems and practices.
- Communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and the public.
- Train and mentor junior staff on sustainable design principles and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in sustainable infrastructure design.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations, and ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or similar.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with sustainable design standards and guidelines, such as LEED, BREEAM, or others.
- Knowledge of green building materials and technologies.
- Ability to lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians.
