Senior Scientist -Product Support

About the Role

Werfen is seeking a professional to join our team in a key position within our specialized diagnostics organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support business growth in specialized diagnostic areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and commercial operations
• Drive innovation and quality improvements across product lines and processes
• Provide technical and operational support to internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for expansion
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences industry
• Demonstrated track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) preferred
• Experience in Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, or Transplant specialties is highly desirable
• Familiarity with OEM manufacturing processes and custom assay development
• Prior experience in a family-owned or entrepreneurial business environment
• Multilingual capabilities, particularly Spanish or other European languages, are a plus
