Senior Scientist in Chemical Biology and Therapeutics
About the role
The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead an automated light-directed DNA synthesis platform for use in biomedical research and drug discovery.
Responsibilities
- Apply the platform to oligonucleotide synthesis for various functions.
- Previous experience in microarray technology, microfluidics, optics/microscopy, microfabrication, ink jet technology, and surface/materials science is useful.
- Additional projects may include high-throughput screening and printing microarray technology using legacy instruments such as the Quanterix Microarrayers and light directed synthesizers.
Requirements
Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required.
Minimum Experience: Ten (10) years relevant work experience is required with Bachelor's degree. Eight (8) years of relevant work experience is required with a Master's degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience is required with a PhD.
Qualifications
Background in chemical, biomedical, or electrical engineering with experience in optics/photolithography and microfluidics.
Skills
Useful previous experience in microarray technology, microfluidics, optics/microscopy, microfabrication, ink jet technology, and surface/materials science.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Senior Scientist in Chemical Biology and Therapeutics.
