Senior Scientist, Bioengineering & Therapeutics Delivery
About the role
This is a newly created role at Aurion Biotech within the Research and Development organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to support metabolite analysis, analytical and process development activities to advance product development timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Manage collection and tracking of spent media samples from development lots and inventory.
- Perform metabolite analyses to support process and product characterization activities.
- Support stability, process development, and engineering-related projects to advance product and process development activities.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare summaries, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, study execution, and continuous improvement initiatives within development programs.
- Participate in internal and external collaborations to evaluate and develop emerging technologies.
- Authoring of SOPs, protocols, technical reports, regulatory documents.
- Complies with all applicable laws and Company policies regarding health, safety, innovation and environment.

- PhD in a scientific discipline with 3-5+ years of relevant experience, or MS degree in a scientific discipline with 6-8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with metabolite analysis and analytical development preferred.
- Experience supporting late-stage drug development and BLA-enabling activities preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and scientific problems.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- High level of technical competency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and make data-driven recommendations.
