Senior Scheduler

About the role

This traveling, project-based position requires up to 90% travel to project sites located throughout the U.S. You’ll typically spend 8–18 months on each assignment and receive designated per diem plus an excellent base salary to help cover living expenses. Mobilization support (including mileage reimbursement) is available, and the schedule includes one longer weekend every four weeks for additional time at home.

Responsibilities

• Establish the Proposal or Project Baseline Schedule
• Lead and execute Project Planning and Execution Planning Sessions
• Lead Logic Development, Schedule Updates, and Forecasting
• Work with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams to define key milestones and interface dates
• Resource and commodity-load schedules and provide supporting graphics
• Author and update the Scheduling narrative in weekly and monthly reports
• Lead compliance and Project Controls oversight throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure client Project Controls and Reporting specifications and requirements are met per contract
• Support Project Management with project reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical major; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Seven years of Project Controls Schedule Analysis or related work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Workface Planning Techniques and Scheduling requirements is a plus
• Professional-level certification (AACE, PMI, or equivalent) is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Office 365, InEight, and/or related Project Controls software
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering and contract documents
• Understanding of complex Earned Value and Cost Control Methods
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks
• Strong team-building and collaboration skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Demands

• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions
• Maintain physical strength and stamina; push, pull, and frequently lift/carry objects up to 50 lbs.; stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb
• Wear required personal protective equipment (safety-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.)
• Work at heights and abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
• Ability to evaluate information against measurable standards, visualize objects in three dimensions, and recognize subtle differences in shapes and shadings

Pay

$145,000 – $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience, with ongoing performance reviews and merit increases.
