Senior Scheduler

About the role

This traveling, project-based role is based in any U.S. city or state and requires up to 90% travel to project sites nationwide. Assignments typically last 8–18 months, with one longer weekend every four weeks for additional time at home. Designated per diem and potential mobilization support (including mileage reimbursement) are provided.

Responsibilities

• Establish the proposal or project baseline schedule.
• Lead and execute project planning and execution-planning sessions.
• Develop logic, update schedules, and provide forecasting.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to define key milestones and interface dates.
• Resource and commodity load schedules and generate supporting graphics.
• Author and update scheduling narratives in weekly and monthly reports.
• Lead compliance and project controls oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure client project controls and reporting specifications are met per contract.
• Support project management with reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical major; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Seven years of project controls schedule analysis or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of workface planning techniques and scheduling requirements is a plus.
• Professional-level certification (AACE, PMI, or equivalent) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Office 365, InEight, and/or related project controls software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and contract documents.
• Understanding of complex earned-value and cost-control methods.
• Exceptional organizational, team-building, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage simultaneous tasks.

Physical Demands

• Up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
• Maintain physical strength and stamina; push, pull, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds; stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors, and loud noises.
• Wear required PPE (safety-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.).
• Work at heights and in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas while adhering to fall-protection requirements.
• Evaluate information against measurable standards; visualize objects in three dimensions; maintain balance and coordination; see and hear well (with or without correction).

Hours

Full-time position typically working 50 hours per week; schedule subject to project requirements.

Pay

$145,000 – $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
