Senior Scheduler

Your role

  • Develop, maintain and optimize detailed project schedules.
  • Monitor schedule performance and variance; provide regular status updates to project manager.
  • Perform Critical Path Analysis, identify and analyze critical paths/activities to ascertain project completion in time and in budget, including forecasting delays and evaluation of alternative scenarios.
  • Lead schedule update and review meetings.
  • Identify schedule risk and opportunities.
  • Analyze schedule impacts resulting from change orders or scope modifications.
  • Support cost/schedule integration, including contractor schedules, and collaborate with Project Controls to ensure accurate progress measurement.
  • Will be required to travel to Birmingham, AL, as needed

About you

  • Minimum 7 years of industrial project scheduling experience required.
  • Primavera P6 experience required.
  • Preferred experience in power plant scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus seven years relevant experience.
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have strong to excellent understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations; strong to excellent understanding of earned value concepts, calculations, and rules of credit; proficiency in Primavera scheduling products; and experience in analyzing contractor-prepared delay claims.
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferred.

Pay

Depending on skills, experience, and geographical location, the expected compensation range is between $130,000 - $170,000 annually.
