Senior Scheduler

Responsibilities

  • Effectively articulate Industry Standards that apply to planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure schedule has complete scope coverage, identify potential scope growth, and ensure allowances and contingencies are appropriately used.
  • Consult with project, construction, and procurement managers to create, update, and analyze CPM schedules; recommend workarounds and schedule improvement ideas to regain schedule slippage.
  • Resource and Commodity Load Schedules. Explain the advantages and levels of effective resource loading.
  • Apply Cost loading when required by contract.
  • Implement and maintain Schedule Change Management.
  • Cookordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate performance against schedule and prepare project progress reports.
  • Facilitate multi-company interactive pull planning sessions and implement the Last Planner System.
  • Effectively communicate schedule status at a client level or informal meetings.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, estimating, and construction management to properly sequence the work, assess durations, and enhance the overall quality and accuracy of the plan.
  • Utilize resource loading to coordinate the project's earned value system with schedule updates.
  • Create and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • A working knowledge of construction techniques, timelines, and practices.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in Engineering/Construction Field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Client and all stakeholders at multiple levels; build and maintain positive relationships with all project partners.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations if needed.
  • Pharma/Biotech/Life Sciences background preferred but not required.
