Senior Sales & Training Executive - Shiseido Independent Stores (New York)

The Sales and Training Executive will educate, collaborate, and strategize with external retail partners to increase sales and achieve company sell-in/sell-thru objectives, including adherence to budgetary spending commitments and overall profitability. This role involves leading events, servicing customers, motivating and training store associates, and cultivating strong account relationships to drive sales and beauty consultant education in our Spa and Independent stores.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and execute strategies within each retailer to ensure achievement of the sales plan.
- Conduct visits to all doors in the defined territory (valid driver’s license required).
- Achieve and adhere to budgetary spend commitments, including financial responsibility for travel, expenses, freelance spend, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with internal and external business partners to increase business understanding and sales results.
- Create an open and collaborative environment influencing sales teams of Independent Stores (SIS) and cascading knowledge and best practices.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain productive freelance teams as well as Beauty Advisor/Coordinator teams (where applicable).
- Act as key liaison and executor for all events within the territory, including virtual events, while achieving financial targets.
- Maintain a professional digital footprint across social media platforms, adhering to company guidelines.
- Strengthen brand identity by ensuring visual merchandising consistency, inventory, and operational standards are met in each store.
- Support product and marketing campaigns through customer interactions, trainings, and successful execution of visual direction.
- Evaluate retail trends to determine resource movements against sales.
- Meet all deadlines for requests, including calendars, expenses, and event recaps, while adhering to retail partner protocols.
- Enforce and execute company policies, procedures, and operational standards in all locations.
- Participate in regional meetings and conference calls to provide partnership and create solutions for business needs.
- Represent Shiseido Brands professionally and positively, acting as a Best Brand Partner.
- Work cross-functionally with the Education team to grow store personnel’s confidence in selling the product and building brand awareness.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of all products and ingredients.
- Deliver information in front of large groups for educational and sales purposes, both in-store and virtually.
- Uphold Shiseido Brand Dress Code Guidelines, demonstrating a polished and professional appearance, including wearing seasonal makeup looks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ Cosmetic Account Executive or 5 years’ Account Coordinator experience (or equivalent position).
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales through fostering relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive, effective business partnerships.
- Experience interacting with all levels of management in a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment.
- Ability to work independently to prioritize and achieve results.
- Outstanding interpersonal and bilingual communication skills, both verbal and written in Chinese-Mandarin and English.
- Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (where applicable).
- Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience.
