Senior Sales Executive, Federal
What will you be doing
As a Senior Sales Executive (Federal) at SimSpace, you will lead new business development across U.S. Federal civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies. Your focus will be identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities where agencies will leverage the SimSpace platform to improve cyber readiness through individual & team training, evaluate and tune security tools, and build, train & validate AI agents in complex, real-world environments. This is a quota-carrying role responsible for building pipeline, navigating federal procurement processes, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You will work cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and Engineering to drive deal strategy and execution.
Who You Are
- You have a track record of closing new business within U.S. Federal agencies, specifically in cybersecurity, defense, or AI-driven technologies
- You understand federal procurement pathways (e.g., IDIQs, OTAs, SBIR, prime/sub relationships) and how to navigate them
- You have existing relationships and have a successful track record with large and small Federal/Defense Contractors
- You’ve built relationships with key stakeholders across technical teams, program leadership, and contracting offices
- You can independently develop and execute account strategies across a defined territory or set of agencies
- You are comfortable selling complex, technical solutions and partnering closely with solution architects and engineering teams
- You run a disciplined sales process, including pipeline development, forecasting, and deal execution using Value Based Selling sales frameworks
- You operate with a high degree of ownership and thrive in fast-moving, growth-stage environments
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience selling into U.S. Federal agencies, preferably in cybersecurity, defense, or related technologies
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding quota in complex federal sales environments
- Experience navigating federal procurement processes and contract vehicles
- Established relationships with senior government and/or military stakeholders
- Established relationships with Large and Small Federal/Defense Contractors
- Track record of quota attainment in new ARR within complex accounts
- Technical awareness of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or cybersecurity risk strategies, with an ability to translate technical concepts into business value discussions
- Strong negotiation skills across multi-stakeholder environments
- A collaborative and team-driven mentality, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively in high-stakes negotiations
- Adaptability in fast-paced startup environments, demonstrating ownership, problem-solving and resourcefulness
- Based on the U.S. East Coast (remote role)
- Experience selling into DoD, IC, or intel related agencies
Pay
Compensation. Base salary range: $175,000 – $220,000, reflecting our confidence in your expertise and impact, with the opportunity for annual bonuses tied to company performance and individual contributions.
