About the role
MACOM is seeking a Senior RF Test Engineer to join its Technology Development team. This role focuses on device characterization, test software development, and automation of testing procedures for both active and passive RF devices.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive device characterization, including DC/Pulse IV, S-parameters, load-pull, noise figure, and other RF measurements.
- Develop, implement, and validate test software aligned with test plans and bench setups.
- Maintain and monitor lab equipment performance and coordinate with vendors for service and support.
- Manage inventory of testing materials such as wafers, calibration structures, fixtures, and assembly components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test software and hardware; provide technical support to other business units as needed.
Qualifications
- BS in EE or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in RF test engineering and test solution development.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including network analyzers, AMCAD Pulse IV, Maury and Focus load-pull systems, signal generators, AWGs, power supplies, and comb generators.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of various calibration techniques including SOLT, TRL, LRM.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Pay
The Salary Range for this position is $69,700 - $113,879. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
