RF Test Engineer, Senior

Booz Allen Hamilton · King George, VA · 2 wk ago
On-siteEngineering$99k–$225k/yrFull-time

About the role

As an RF Test Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to prototype development for Directed Energy (DE) systems and capabilities. We’re looking for an RF Test Engineer who can use their skills to research, analyze, down-select, fabricate, test, and integrate complex electronic and RF subsystems and components to advance our non-kinetic weapon portfolio for our DoD warfighters. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform DoD and Navy offerings. Our team develops next-generation weapons and combat systems. That’s why we need an RF Test Engineer like you who specializes in high-power RF to help us design and develop systems that can operate successfully against advanced threats in complex environments. On our team, you’ll conduct scientific analysis and testing in a laboratory and field environment. You’ll directly impact the DoD by demonstrating unique or niche capabilities. We’ll look to you to share your RF test engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in pulsed power electronics while broadening your skillset into areas like mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and operational utility analysis. Take on exciting challenges in the DoD with us as we provide our nation's warfighters with additional tools to combat the next generation of defense.

  • Collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams (technical leads, project managers, developers, testers, engineers, subject matter experts)
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems for testing and integration; provide recommendations to clients
  • Work on‑site in indoor labs and outdoor testing environments
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff
  • Broaden skillset into mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and operational utility analysis

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory or field‑testing environments, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results
