About the role
Lead all inventory return and recall requests and activities, including recall for redistribution, excess inventory recalls, dead inventory returns to vendor, store returns, and safety and legal issues, ensuring requests accomplish the intended objectives.
Communicate effectively across Supply Chain to notify of risks and provide solutions where needed. Provide standard reporting and ad-hoc data analysis to support Returns and Recalls, communicating key insights to leadership and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and update all FOG/POG activities and calendar cross-functionally.
- Generate store and DC inventory recalls and manage the flow of recalls through the network.
- Collaborate with DCs and BBP team to ensure returns and recalls are set up, processed consistently, timely, and properly across the network.
- Generate weekly KPI reporting for recalls and returns operations.
- Review weekly DC inventory not returned to vendor and communicate to the DC to return product.
- Review and key inventory recall requests, validating accuracy based on the original request.
- Report, support, and manage all aspects of DC chargeback inventory effectively between DC, SSC, and Vendors. Ensure aged Vendor Boxes and chargeback dollar goals are achieved consistently.
- Update weekly recall calendar and communicate to DCs.
- Update on return-to-vendor recalls with the returns goods authorization received from merchandising. Validate the returns goods authorization approved amount is not exceeded and recalls/returns to vendor are executed properly. Report any discrepancies to merchandising.
- Partner with vendors and Merchandising to obtain returned goods authorization.
- Demonstrate effective communication—actively listening to internal and external needs—to understand and provide accurate information or solutions. Prioritize appropriately and respond to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive focus.
- Partner with DCs, SSC, Stores, and Vendors to streamline and improve efficiencies for DCs.
- Provide options when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, Business Administration, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics analysis, inventory management, warehouse operations, or equivalent professional experience.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- SQL proficiency.
- Supply Chain Operations experience.
