Senior Revenue Accountant

The Work You'll Do

• global revenue recognition accounting in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue across all product lines and geographies
• Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, deferred revenue schedules, and related account reconciliations
• Maintain and enhance revenue accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue accounting processes, working cross-functionally with IT, FP&A, and Operations to implement improvements, leveraging AI to perform review and analysis where applicable
• Develop and document scalable revenue accounting workflows and internal controls to support the company's continued growth
• Partner with the systems team to optimize the use of revenue management tools and ERP functionality
• Aid in the post-acquisition integration of revenue accounting to ensure a smooth transition and consistent application of revenue recognition policies
• Assist in the development and implementation of new revenue recognition policies and procedures
• Participate in the ongoing training and development of the finance team on ASC 606 matters

What We Need From You

• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their practical application in a SaaS or software environment
• At least 6 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on revenue recognition
• CPA certification required or actively pursuing
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, FP&A, and external auditors
• A high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, paired with a continuous improvement mindset
• Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
