Senior Revenue Accountant

About the role

The Revenue Accounting team plays an important tactical and strategic role within the Accounting department, the Finance organization, and the company as a whole. This role will report into Manager, Revenue Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Book journal entries covering revenue and related accounts such as accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, deferred revenue, cash
• Perform month-end reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts
• Prepare month-end analysis of P&L and balance sheet account variances
• Produce clear, well-structured documentation and memos
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in financial operations
• Cook internal and external audits
• Execute on key internal controls
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably at a SaaS company or at a public accounting firm
• CPA or CA designation, or path towards such designation strongly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with Salesforce and/or Stripe is a plus

• Interest in and passion for accounting profession

• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS

Benefits

• Canada-based roles: Annual base salary between $82,000 CAD and $115,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Pay

• USA-based roles: Annual base salary between $92,000 USD and $129,000 USD
• Canada-based roles: Annual base salary between $82,000 CAD and $115,000 CAD

Schedule

• This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
