About the role
The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs seeks a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor. Our facility is known for its loyal team and fantastic work culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality professional care to veteran residents to ensure their health, safety, and security.
- Perform assigned duties including medication administration, treatment monitoring, and clinical documentation.
- Supervise and direct nursing personnel, ensuring they follow job descriptions and provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Review shift assignments, coordinate staff absences, and notify administrators of emergencies.
- Maintain standards of nursing care, implement policies, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Assist in reviewing policies and procedures, maintaining reference materials, and participating in quality improvement programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and assist in the development of care plans.
- Ensure proper documentation and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
- Participate in emergency response and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Valid CPR certification.
- Florida Registered Nursing license.
- Supervisory experience in long-term care facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Medical/Health Records.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience with medication administration.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse Supervisor.

Pay
Annual Salary: $72,113.08
Paid Bi-Weekly
8-hour Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
13-hour Shift: 6:45 am - 8:30 pm
Monday-Friday, with some weekends and holidays.

Other Information
This position is eligible for both overtime pay and an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential pay for qualifying shifts.
