Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
• Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
• Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
• Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
• Review of supplier submittals
• Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment

Requirements

The ideal candidate is located in the Chicago Metropolitan area. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, 11+ years of related work experience, and an active engineering registration or licensure.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer’s license in IL or another US jurisdiction
• Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators
• Experience in a client-facing/business development role
• Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus

Skills

Preferred qualifications include consulting and Water/Wastewater experience, and experience in power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, or similar software.
