Senior Regional Quality Assurance Manager

About the role
The Senior Regional Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and resource stewardship for our Windows & Doors quality organization; specifically, this role will lead quality assurance at 5-7 facilities within the South Region. This position directly reports to the Director of Quality for Windows & Doors business unit.

Responsibilities

- Lead by influence, build strong business relationships, and work collaboratively across multiple functions and regions.
- Assume end-to-end quality responsibility: design, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the Windows & Doors business unit customer satisfaction and internal metrics (Cost of Poor Quality), drive initiatives and projects to improve quality as a competitive advantage.
- Support the development and drive the execution of the Cornerstone Production System Quality Control Pillar.
- Leverage best practices and standardize processes and procedures across the factories to meet company objectives and customer expectations.
- Review, update, and approve applicable documents such as process maps, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), control plan, reliable testing, and other testing.
- Develop and execute the Critical to Quality (CTQ) station and key initiatives as part of the Strategic Annual Plan.
- Explore, identify, and pursue new technologies that improve the effectiveness of quality control systems, including error and mistake-proof solutions, digital, real-time quality assurance systems.
- Evaluate new and existing regulations to ensure quality assurance protocols fulfill requirements.
- Lead and/or facilitate team problem-solving events for customer and internal quality issues to find true root cause and develop permanent Corrective Actions.
- Invest significant effort in talent development and aligning training of teams to mindsets and skillsets critical to the future of the business.
- Teach, coach, direct, and inform other quality professionals to promote performance and encourage professional development.
- Understand that speed matters; be prompt with action and information, willing to make decisions based on calculated risks, and drive issues to closure.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred; MBA a plus.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
- At least 8+ years of manufacturing experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years leading product quality.
- Proven ability to drive Quality, performance, and cultural transformations.
- Enthusiastic about the value quality brings to the manufacturing process and passionate about keeping technical skills up to date.
- Progressive experience in quality technical field and leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong ability to use data to rationally analyze and solve issues, with a solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
- 3rd party Quality certification (ISO 9001/TS 16949) experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Travel required (up to 75%).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
