About the role

The Senior Recruiter, Audio Visual / Technology Talent is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent across Audio Visual engineering, project management, project delivery, and field service technician roles. This position serves as a strategic talent advisor to hiring leaders, leveraging deep knowledge of the Audio Visual, technology integration, and connected workplace solutions market to build high-quality talent pipelines and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes.

The Senior Recruiter partners closely with business leaders to understand workforce needs, provide market insights, and identify innovative sourcing strategies for highly specialized technical talent. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the AV and technology labor market, proven experience recruiting niche technical professionals, and the ability to influence stakeholders while delivering an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.

Responsibilities

  • Source, engage, and convert high-quality Audio Visual and technology integration talent, with priority focus on Engineering, PMO, project delivery, and Field Service Technician roles.
  • Develop and execute precision talent mapping strategies across AV integrators, technology providers, manufacturers, low-voltage firms, managed services organizations, and adjacent technical services markets.
  • Build deep passive-candidate pipelines through personalized, insight-driven outreach and direct engagement in niche AV/Technology talent ecosystems.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define current and future talent needs aligned to business growth, project complexity, backlog, service demand, and capability gaps.
  • Assess candidates for technical depth, project delivery capability, PMO effectiveness, field service readiness, customer orientation, safety mindset, and ability to operate in fast-paced project and service environments.
  • Present curated, high-quality candidate slates and drive data-informed offer strategy, candidate conversion, and closing.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders on AV/Technology talent availability, role scoping, technical leveling, compensation positioning, certification expectations, travel requirements, and competitive hiring dynamics.
  • Elevate the organization’s presence in the AV and technology talent market through targeted campaigns, industry platform engagement, and proactive talent community development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated success sourcing and hiring specialized technical talent in competitive markets.
  • Proven experience recruiting within the Audio Visual, technology integration, low-voltage, connected workplace, or related technical services industry. Strong understanding of the AV talent market and the ability to identify, attract, and assess highly specialized technical professionals.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting a broad range of technical and operational roles, including Engineering (Design, Systems, Solutions, Field, Commissioning, Programming), Project Management and PMO (Project Managers, Program Managers, Coordinators, Superintendents, Resource Planning), and Field Operations (AV Technicians, Installation Technicians, Service Technicians, Field Service Engineers, and Commissioning Specialists).

Skills

  • Strong expertise in direct sourcing, passive candidate engagement, talent mapping, market intelligence, candidate assessment, stakeholder consulting, offer negotiation, and the effective use of ATS, CRM, and recruiting technologies.
  • Working understanding of Audio Visual systems, AV/IT networking, collaboration technologies, commissioning, field installation, and customer-facing technical operations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, a consultative approach, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • Consistently delivers high-quality AV/Technology hires across Engineering, PMO, project delivery, and Field Service Technician roles in competitive, niche talent markets.
  • Builds proactive pipelines that enable the business to scale engineering capacity, strengthen project execution, and improve field service responsiveness ahead of demand.
  • Improves quality of hire by raising the talent bar, strengthening candidate assessment, and influencing sound hiring decisions.
