Position Summary
EVgo is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Real Estate Manager to oversee the identification and execution of property purchase and ground lease opportunities for EV charging hub developments. The hubs will serve both public EV drivers and commercial fleets.
Responsibilities
- Implement the next phase of EVgo’s real estate strategy for ground leases and property acquisitions, collaborating with fleet sales, business development, account management, and site development teams.
- Source land lease and acquisition opportunities for EV charging hubs nationwide.
- Manage relationships with brokers, developers, due diligence partners, landlords, and sellers.
- Negotiate terms with sellers and landlords, including LOIs, PSAs, and ground leases.
- Coordinate internal efforts for large site acquisition processes, including working with engineering and construction teams on local zoning and permitting matters.
- Present to and secure approvals from EVgo’s Real Estate Committee.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on site design, construction, and complementary site amenities to create an appealing charging experience.
- Coordinate cross-functionally on asset management and property management.
- Identify revenue-generating temporary sublease opportunities.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills
- 12+ years of commercial real estate experience, specifically related to property purchasing and ground leasing (as the lessee).
- 2+ Years Pro Forma modeling for Real Estate Transactions.
- Strong and creative negotiator with proven property purchase / ground lease deal experience.
- Ability to balance commercial goals and practical expediency appropriately and thoughtfully.
- Track record of collaborating with external partners, e.g., Real Estate brokers, Due Diligence & Development partners including but not limited to expeditors and land use attorneys.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and collaboratively across teams, including with clients and other external stakeholders.
- Excellent oral/written presentation skills; proficiency in advising internal stakeholders at all levels of the business to achieve strategic objectives.
- Familiarity with various zoning/rezoning, entitlement, planning, and building codes a plus.
- Proven ability to translate business objectives into measurable goals and deliver on them.
- Intellectually curious; desire and ability to learn new content and concepts; able to think creatively.

The pay range for this role is: $126,700 - $158,400 USD per year (US)
