Senior Quality Technician, Assembly
Role Overview
The Senior Assembly Quality Technician is responsible for performing various inspection duties such as in-process turbojet engine assembly steps, torque verification, depth measurements, compliance to defined specifications, and final assembly "white glove" inspections. They will create, collect, and record inspection data, work closely with Engineering and Operations to resolve issues, and maintain document control in accordance with AS9100, AS9102, ITAR, and internal/customer requirements.
What You'll Do...
- Perform physical and visual electrical and mechanical inspections using measurement and test equipment including torque wrenches, pin gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and height gage
- Perform final inspection of all engines post-build/test activities and prior to shipment
- Measure components and compare results to Engineering drawings and defined MES requirements containing GD&T and industry standard specification controls
- Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on the needs of the engine and customer specification
- Collaborate with Quality, Design Eng, & Manufacturing Eng to resolve any issues found during product realization
- Absorb and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) such as calibration records, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and document control
- Create inspection documentation and collect and verify all data for customer data packet or CoC packet
- Identify and record non-conformances when found using various software
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Review and provide input into MES work instructions as they are translated from Engineering drawing to shop floor processes
- Communicates clearly and respectfully, even during production challenges
You Have...
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working in a quality position
- Experience working in an AS9100 (or similar standard) manufacturing and inspection environment
- Experience in sub and final assembly inspection methods and tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Experience in creating quality documentation, such as non-conformances and CoCs
- Experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and work instructions
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) read, write, and interpret
- Drawing interpretation background
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Collaborates effectively with production teams to correct issues quickly and keep operations moving whenever it can be done safely and within quality standards
- Remains calm and objective in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $27-$38.00 per hour.
