Senior Psychologist, CF (Specialist) DSH Coordinator, Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF)

Duties

The DSH Coordinator works collaboratively with his/her assigned institutional staff, other CDCR institutions, Headquarters staff and DSH facilities to ensure that I/Ps are transitioned to and from CDCR and DSH facilities. The DSH Coordinator is an institutional expert in the referral of incarcerated patients to a higher level of care and other related responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health services, preferably in a correctional setting.
• Experience in coordinating transitions between CDCR and DSH facilities.
• Knowledge of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with inmates, staff, and healthcare providers.
• Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Pay

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
