About the role
As a Senior Proposals Specialist for PCL Construction, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, you’ll support pursuits of innovative infrastructure projects that shape the future of your community.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proposals for clients identify differentiators while engaging the three levels of readership. Uses graphics to improve and enhance content, emphasizing key messages.
- Evaluates narrative for relevance, comprehension, and applicability. Identifies new narrative requirements with appropriate partners and creates them as needed.
- Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords content to deliver high-quality, compliant, error-free proposals on time, ensuring a singular voice and messaging continuity.
- Owns the proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal outline, and creation of timeline/assignments.
- Conducts client background research to identify questions, concerns, and potential risks; advises during strategic visioning and proposal planning.
- Collaborates with internal partners to develop overall proposal strategy compliant with client requirements and aligned with district win strategy or corporate objectives.
- Coordinates and leads proposal strategy and planning sessions, including scheduling and chairing the proposal kick-off meeting at the start of the pursuit phase.
- Proactively tracks and maintains communication, including assignments for local and remote partners, to ensure timelines are met.
- Collaborates with the proposal team in preparation for presentations and interviews with prospective clients.
- Participates in outside professional organizations that support the proposal coordinator position.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent preferred.
- APMP practitioner certification, Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification, or equivalent is preferred.
- 7 years’ experience as a proposal coordinator or in a related role (communications, marketing, visual communications).
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills to prioritize and schedule work tasks effectively.
- Outstanding attention to detail, good judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills; ability to develop grammatically sound, customized, technical, and written content.
- In-depth knowledge of proposal fundamentals and standard methodologies.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse groups sensitively, thoughtfully, and respectfully.
- Ability to establish, influence, and maintain relationships with decision-makers and key partners.
- Strong intuition for business, understanding industry practices, and new developments in construction processes, delivery models, and contract types.

Pay
The estimated salary range for this role is $112,370 - $138,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
