Senior Proposals Specialist

Responsibilities

• Aid the Director of Business Development in resource allocation and workload organization.
• Collaborate with Client and Practice Leads, contracts management, and marketing specialists to organize data, develop presentations, and create compelling text for statements of qualifications, RFIs, and account planning and reporting.
• Oversee the development of capture and pursuit strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and delivery across Client Working Groups and Accounts.
• Contribute to capturing lessons learned to enhance the team's responsiveness and win rates over time.
• Support and lead proposal development, including defining proposal structure and organization, writing project descriptions, and coordinating schedule development.
• Manage Deltek Capture Management data entry and reporting.
• Support subcontractor teaming agreements and relationships.
• Craft and organize data calls to subcontractors.
• Track and communicate RFQ/RFP amendments with the proposal writing team.
• Edit and rewrite proposal sections to ensure a concise, coherent message.

• Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English/Communications/Journalism/Marketing preferred.
• At least 15 years of relevant professional experience writing proposals in response to DOD/federal government RFQ/RFPs in the architecture/engineering and environmental consulting services industry.
• Experience in strategic proposal management and production (up-front planning, win strategy development, proposal design, and review teams).
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive criticism in a team setting.
